In case of cancellation of the athlete's participation for health reasons or force majeure until August 31, 2025, half of the paid registration fee will be refunded. After this date, the registration fee will not be refunded. Also, if the organization, due to extreme or adverse weather conditions (snowfall, storm, strong winds, flood) or other unforeseen events for safety reasons, cancels or interrupts the race, no refund of the registration fee will be provided.
If an athlete does not take part in the race despite having paid the registration fee and finalized registration, they will receive by mail all souvenirs included in their registration file after the race.
The identification of athletes takes place in Paranesti at the race secretariat per event, by showing their police or official ID card, passport, or driving license. Only then will they receive their participation folder, which contains their bib number and any items provided by the organization.
Delivery of folders for each race will begin according to the schedule announced by the organization.
The organization provides catering during the race, first aid if necessary, insurance coverage, physiotherapy/massage, an information brochure and medal for finishers, an electronic participation certificate, prizes for the distinguished, souvenirs for all participants, and hospitality in Mesochori (October 9–12) for VFUT and NTR athletes, within the participant limits.
Accommodation options in the area will be shared so athletes can arrange their own stays.
The night before the race, a pasta party is offered; on race day, breakfast; and after the race, a light meal. Transportation is provided from the secretariat to Mesochori and from Mesochori to the start line. Any athlete abandoning at the Abandonment Station will be returned to Paranesti by the organization.
In case of adverse weather preventing a safe start, an alternative shorter route will be secured.
Cash bonuses will be awarded to the top three and the overall winner in the VFUT and NTR races.
Athletes must be fully aware of and respect the rules of their competition. They must compete semi‐autonomously, avoid any environmental pollution, show solidarity with fellow competitors when required, rely solely on their own strength except at designated aid points, wear all mandatory equipment throughout the race, and obey the judges’ and controllers’ instructions. Non-compliance carries disqualification. Judges record any infractions and inform both the violator and the Competition Committee; any authorized organizer may also report violations.
Competitors must understand the risks and difficulties—difficult weather, muscle or physical pain, digestive issues from exertion—and be able to manage them independently.
Receiving medical assistance on course or at supply stations implies acceptance of the doctor’s advice on continuing or stopping the race.
The organization may photograph/video participants at predefined points to confirm passage, and may spot-check equipment anywhere on the route. Submission of the registration application implies consent to such recording for digital content use without rights fees.
Each athlete acknowledges the physical stresses of a mountain endurance event and assumes personal responsibility to compete wisely and safely, avoiding unnecessary risk. By submitting their application, they confirm a recent medical exam shows they are fit for a long-duration mountain race. If a race doctor deems further effort risky, the athlete must abandon the race and hand over their bib to the person in charge of STEK.
A signed declaration of responsibility must accompany the registration. CLICK HERE

- Waterproof jacket
- Emergency blanket
- Hemostatic spray
- Elastic bandage
- Whistle

- Minimum 1000 kcal of food
- Charged mobile phone (emergency number 112). The event may record your number on the bib.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
- GPS device
- Hiking poles (covered ends)
- Leggings or technical pants
- Windproof shirt
- Second pair of socks

Upon receipt of the registration dossier, equipment will be strictly checked. Missing items mean your packet will not be issued, and may lead to disqualification if discovered later.
(Only for VFUT and NTR)
At registration you receive two plastic 30 L bags (drop bags) labeled with your bib number. You may place items to pick up or swap at the Central Supply Stations of Andero and Zarkadia (VFUT) or Andero (NTR). Transport to and from these stations is organized for you. Sharp, fragile objects or poles are prohibited. Returned items will be brought back to Paranesti and left in the designated area.
Your unique bib must be visible on the front of your body (or another conspicuous spot) throughout the race. Attachment method is your responsibility; organizers provide fastening means.
Covering the bib is permitted in bad weather or cold, but must be shown at checkpoints for passage recording. Loss of bib leads to exclusion.
Each bib has a barcode for electronic timing at each station and finish. Return the barcode to the organizers at the finish.
The technical director will brief athletes for each race separately, according to the program to be announced soon.
From Thursday, October 9 at 12:00 a.m. until the end of the event, the Competition Secretariat will provide ongoing information on event matters.
The Paranesti Health Center will provide services if needed. Each station has a first aid kit and volunteer responders; medication only with a doctor’s approval.
An ambulance is on standby for the entire event. Event doctors and physiotherapists will care for athletes with serious issues, though competitors should manage minor muscle or other pain themselves.
Safety teams (“Scoups”) will follow the back of the field to assist athletes who abandon between stations. Special security personnel in event vehicles patrol rural and forest roads to help or transport athletes who abandon. Teams wear event gear and vehicles bear distinctive markings.
Bright beacons and road signs will mark certain route points, alongside fluorescent lights for night/fog.
Support teams may assist athletes only at organization-designated points and stations. Drivers, companions, and spectators must move vehicles carefully so as not to endanger athletes where routes coincide (permitted points to be announced).
Support teams operate by permission of the station head, who assigns their location to avoid hindering station work.
Spectators can track athlete positions in real time at the secretariat area.
Food Stations and Control Points are defined in the technical competition tables. At Food Stations, athletes receive energy and hydration supplies. At the Central Stations of Andero and Zarkadia (VFUT & NTR), a full meal is provided.
See detailed station supplies: Excel file or PDF file.
Athlete times are recorded manually and electronically at each STEK and at the finish. Defined cut-off points and time limits per race (see technical tables) ensure safety and smooth running.
Arrival time at a station is the athlete’s recorded time. Any athlete passing all checkpoints within limits and finishing validly is entitled to a medal.
Races interrupt at the maximum time limit. Athletes on course must stop, hand over their bib, and will be transported to Paranesti. They are ranked by time and point reached, but receive no medal.
If a race is interrupted due to force majeure, ranking is by arrival time at the last STEK. No athlete may continue after disqualification or official interruption, unless the Organizing Committee decides otherwise. Non-compliance may bar future participation.
- Not carrying mandatory equipment when checked by Judges/Controllers
- Polluting the route (littering)
- Receiving external assistance (vehicle transport, escort, pack transport)
- Unsportsmanlike behavior or failure to assist fellow athletes when required
- Skipping any checkpoint
- Failing to display bib throughout the route
Each athlete may submit a written protest for any serious reason within one hour of finishing.
Protests are submitted only by the concerned athlete to the secretariat.
The Competition Committee examines and decides immediately, publicly, and definitively, and may call judges, inspectors, volunteers, or related athletes as needed.
